Stinkin' Stove? Get it Clean For Summer

Posted: 05 March 2014

Coming in to the warmer weather you will start to use your stove less. But when the summer comes and you don't use your stove it's the perfect time to give it a good clean. At Ray Grahams we stock a wide range of stove cleaning products from chimney cleaning logs to stove polish as well as our complete stove cleaning kit.

The Chimney Cleaning Log:

The chimney cleaning log has been designed to help prevent a build up of creosote deposits which are the main cause of chimney fires. The chimney log burns for around 90 minutes and during that time the log creates a smoke that is charged with additives that attach themselves to the creosote deposits. When burning the fires the additives will continue to treat you chimney for 1 or 2 weeks.

Merlin & Sorcerer Cleaners:

The Merlin chimney cleaner and soot reducer improves your fire by reducing soot build up and improving combustion by keeping flues and chimneys cleaner, however regular sweeping and inspections are essential.

The Sorcerer improves the efficiency of your fire by gradually reducing the hard coatings of tar and creosote that builds up in the chimney flue thereby improving combustion by keeping them cleaner.

Hotspot Matt Black Stove Paint:

Want to give your stove a new coat of paint? The Hotspot matt black stove paint is ideal because it's corrosion resistant, ultra high temperature one coat finish. It is specially formulated for use with wood burning stoves and resists temperatures up to 650 degrees Celsius.

De Vielle Ash Vacuum:

Struggling to clean the cold ash up with a pan and brush? The DeVielle ash vacuum is ideal for clearing out cold ash from your stove. The new triple filter system, 1200 watt motor and large 25 litre capacity over two chambers improves performance. The three filter system consists of a large fabric bag filter, a HEPA filter and a metal filter.

HG Stove Glass Cleaner

Removing the tar and grease of the stove glass can be tough. HG have made a stove glass cleaner that will help to remove tar and soot easier.

The HG stove glass cleaner removes all stubborn marks caused by soot, grease and tar for example from the glass surfaces of stoves and hearths. In addition, HG stove glass cleaner is suitable for the removal of soot from bricks.

Chimney and Flue Cleaning Kit

We have helped you along a bit and made up a flue and stove cleaning kit. The chimney cleaning kit features a 9 piece chimney sweeping set, a chimney cleaning log, a pack of Merlin chimney cleaner, a pack of Sorcerer flue and chimney cleaner and a tub of stove and grate polish.

The perfect chimney cleaning set for both the start and end of the fire season.
